RE: Campfire in a Can

i bought the camp chef fire pit, because it folds down to about 4" and is easy to store, runs on propane ,and gives off a lot of heat ,and you can cook over it. cost a little under 100.00

RE: Looking for Input on 2009 Windsport 33T

we have the 33 ft windsport basement model, and it has been a good unit so far.gas mileage sucks ,but it rides like a dream, and fit and finish is excellent. the factory has been good to deal with, but they are slow to respond. bought it from rv direct in albany ny, as there we'rnt any dealers around us.

RE: outside air coming into motor home from air conditioner

the filter that comes from the factory is kinda of worthless as it really don't stop much dust. camping world sells a better filter that does a lot better job. i think what you see out side is a separate blower wheel fro m the inside one as there are 2 on the same shaft, one for the outside coil and one for the inside coil. the inside coil and blower wheel should be completely enclosed from the outside unless there is some damage.

RE: Anyone know the lug nut torque specs?

450 foot pounds , as per ford, and it should be printed on the lug nutWhat does a Ford lug torque spec do for someone with a Freightliner chassis like the OP has? OPPS--i guess i should have kept my big mouth shut--sorry

RE: Bicycle seat

camping world has one made by workman, and it is the best i've seen. i tried the 2 cheek seat mentioned above , and that wasn't too bad, but the workman has it beat. its pretty much as fj12ryder said.

RE: Fresh water pump pulsing normal?

i just installed a varible speed control on my pump to eliminate that pulsating, and it seems to work real nice. its availble from camping world now on sale for 35.00, normal price is about 90.00.

RE: Are you ready for solar powered cold air?

what difference does it make for an rv, the campground will still charge the same amount for use of electric.

RE: CB Radio

we had one in the last rig and i carried it to this rig. we use it to navigate in the campsites and getting into our driveway, and to listen to traffice problems on the road. i put one of those glass mount antennas from camping world on this rig and it was one big waste of time. i have to take it off and get a real antenna now. a small handfull of the truckers have trash mouths so it can be embarrassing when other people are close to you.

RE: 2009 Myrtle Beach

you didn't say what you are camping with, but ocean lakes, lakewood and pirateland are the 3 top ones if you want to be on the beach. all the sites are great. you can google all 3 and read more about them.

RE: flojet controller

it can't make that much of a difference, as it should stop the on and off cycling of the pump, which i would think it would put less wear and tear on the pump.

RE: Anyone Gonna Be @ French Creek SP or Elk Neck SP??

we just came back from french creek yesterday. fairly nice state park, but i think its mainly for tenters, in as much as the sites are setup for tents. the biggest thing i didn't like was that the pool was a mile away from the campsites, and we would have to take the car to get there. also costs an extra 7.00 each to use, bummer. the weekend crowd piled in fdriday and it was packed.

RE: Harpers Ferry, WV KOA

I agree with "DowntheRoad" about the KOA. It is an older rv park, small sites, narrow roads, some lots prone to standing water if raining, cars/trucks parked everywhere making travel tight. The newer section up near the entrance is a bit more spacious. It is a very BUSY place because of it's location. If planning to visit Harpers Ferry, you will still need to go to the Nat. Park entrance, pay your fees and then you catch a shuttle bus over to the park. There is another no-frills campground about 6 miles farther NE, in Brunswick, MD. They offer W/E, dump station, bath house(never been in it), a small playground, great bike riding right on the C & O tow path, which runs right along the front of the campground. They have a boat ramp for access to the river. A little more wallet friendly also :B Clicky link: Brunswick Family Campground If you have an additional questions, please feel free to contact me. I will be there Memorial Day weekend can you tell me what the going rate is for the brunswick cg

RE: lil stanker power fan

i saw the lil stanker and i decided to make my own with a small computer fan. it seems to draw the odors from the tank constantly and works great, as its always on when we are in it. i would say that the lil stanker is a great addition. also you will always get an odor when the bathroom fan is on and you flush the toilet, its a no-brainer.

RE: RV Tips and Tricks

i pop riveted a bag clip to a blank ignition key and clip it on the antenna crank, and when i put the antenna up, i slide it in the ignition ,so you have to take it out before you start the engine.

RE: Windows locks for RV ??

i drilled 1/8 holes in the tracks and put in cotter pins so the window will only slide several inches for ventilation. then hooked the pins to one of the track screws with monofilament so as not to lose them.

RE: digital cable box

they just cut 2 channels from being able to view them, they are just snow now. they also increased the cost several dollars at about the same time. i called them and they said i need a digital box and thats an extra monthly fee.
